Your Member Rights
Your rights to access, correct, export, and delete your data, how to exercise them, and the state specific notices that apply to you.
This page explains the rights you have over your information, how to exercise them, and the notices specific to your state. It works together with our Privacy Policy and, for Washington and Nevada residents, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
What you can ask for
As a Veyda member you can, at any time:
- Access the personal and health information we hold about you and receive a copy in a portable format.
- Correct inaccurate information, including individual Sage memories under What Sage knows about you in the app.
- Delete your account and the personal information tied to it. The app does this directly: Settings, then Privacy and Data, then Delete Account.
- Withdraw consent for our use of your health or genetic information. Features that depend on that data will stop working.
- Disconnect any wearable, device, or records source in the app, and revoke Apple Health permissions in your device settings.
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time. Service messages about your account continue while your account is active.
How to make a request
Use the controls in the app, or email privacy@veyda.com from the email address tied to your account. Requests are free.
We verify your identity before fulfilling sensitive requests; for requests involving health information we may ask for additional confirmation. You may use an authorized agent where your state provides for one; we will verify the agent's authority as the law allows.
We respond within 45 days. Complex requests may take one additional 45 day extension, and we will tell you if that happens.
Appeals
If you disagree with how we handled a request, reply to our response to appeal. Appeals are reviewed by someone senior to the original decision maker and answered within 45 days. If your appeal is unsuccessful, you may contact your state attorney general.
Notice at collection (California)
California residents are entitled to a notice, at or before collection, of the categories of personal information we collect, why, how long we keep them, and whether we sell or share them. We do not sell personal information, and we do not currently share personal information, including no sharing for cross context behavioral advertising.
| Category | Examples | Why we collect it | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email, phone number, account and device IDs, push tokens | Account creation, security, delivering the service and notifications | Life of your account |
| Sensitive personal information, including health information | Wearable and Apple Health data, labs, medical records, mood entries, health history, genetic information you provide, health content of Sage conversations | Providing and personalizing Veyda; this is the service | Life of your account, or until you delete it |
| Content you create | Sage messages, Sage memories, onboarding answers, photos you share, support messages, bug reports | Providing and personalizing the service, support, quality and safety | Life of your account, or until you delete it |
| Commercial information | Subscription status, transactions, marketplace orders and shipping address | Unlocking your membership, fulfilling orders, records required by law | Life of account; purchase records as tax and accounting rules require |
| Internet and network activity | Screens viewed, features used, IP address and approximate location derived from it, diagnostics | Analytics, product improvement, debugging, security | Short operational windows, then deleted or aggregated |
| Audio and visual information | Food photos, progress photos, screenshots you attach to reports | The features you use them in, and support | Life of your account, or until you delete it |
| Inferences | Personalized insights, scores, and Sage's understanding of your preferences | Personalizing your experience | Life of your account |
We collect these categories directly from you, from your device and connected services with your permission, and automatically as you use the service. We disclose them only to the service provider categories described in section 8 of the Privacy Policy. We do not collect precise geolocation. We use sensitive personal information only to provide and personalize the service you expect, so California's right to limit does not require a separate link.
California rights (CCPA/CPRA)
In addition to everything above, California residents may request the specific pieces of personal information we hold, the categories of sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose to. You will not be discriminated against for exercising any right. Under California's Shine the Light law: we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
California's Confidentiality of Medical Information Act and Genetic Information Privacy Act provide additional protections for medical and genetic information; sections 5 and 6 of the Privacy Policy describe how we honor them.
Washington and Nevada residents
Your consumer health data rights, including access with a list of recipients, withdrawal of consent, and deletion, are described in the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, which controls for consumer health data.
Other states
Members in Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have substantially the rights described above, including opt in consent for sensitive data, which we obtain when you create your account and connect health sources. These laws also provide opt outs from targeted advertising, sale, and significant profiling; we do not do any of these today, and if that ever changes we will provide the required opt outs before any such processing begins. Global Privacy Control signals are honored where the law treats them as an opt out of sale or sharing.

Unleash Your Extraordinary™
Your health has been scattered across portals, apps, and folders for years. It finally has a home. Join the private beta.
Veyda is currently in private beta. Features and availability may change, and some features shown, including Veyda Concierge and Veyda Rewards, are coming soon. The Veyda Marketplace is launching with curated lab panels, available in California only at launch, with in-home blood draws for an added fee. Veyda is not a medical provider and does not provide medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. Veyda Intelligence provides understanding and guidance, never a diagnosis, and is not a substitute for professional medical advice; always talk to a qualified clinician about your health. Where relevant, our practices are HIPAA-aligned. Your record is never for sale, never used to train models, and never shared with third-party advertisers.
